Part I Dialogue Completion (10 points)
Directions: In this part, there are 3 dialogues with 3 or 4 blanks, each followed by 4 choices marked A, B, C and D. Fill in each blank with the choice that best suits the situation until the dialogue is complete. With Dialogue One, all the choices will have to be used. With Dialogue Two and Dialogue Three, one choice will be left unused. Mark your answer on the ANSWER SHEET with a single bar through the centre of the letter that indicates your choice.
Dialogue One
Speaker A: I like watching old movies and I think they are the best.
Speaker B: 1 even though they're in black and white. I think a good story is more important than color.
Speaker A: And there was no violence in old movies.
Speaker B: No, there wasn' t. 2
Speaker A: They like lots of action.
Speaker B: 3
Speaker A: I like to see actors who are like real people.
Speaker B: Like real people with real problems.

Dialogue Two
Joshua: Dad. Allowance day. Can I have my allowance?
Father: Oh. I forgot about that.

Father: Well, I' m not sure if I have that much.
Joshua: Go to the bank. 6
Father: Lots of money, uh? Uh, well. I think the bank is closed.
Joshua: Then, what about your secret money jar under your bed?
Father: Oh, I guess I could do that. 7
Joshua: I' m going to put some in savings, give some to the poor people, and use the rest to buy books.
Father: Well, that sounds great, Joshua.
